La Communauté de Communes Val de Gers est un Établissement Public de Coopération Intercommunale (EPCI) regroupant 45 communes pour 10 758 habitants (INSEE 2012).


Située dans le sud du département du Gers, son territoire se dessine tout en longueur, s’étalant du nord au sud, le long des vallées du Gers et de l’Arrats.

Boucagnères (Bocanhera en gascon) est une commune française située dans le sud du département du Gers, en région Occitanie. Sur le plan historique et culturel, la commune est dans le Pays d'Auch, un territoire céréalier et viticole qui s'est également constitué en pays au sens aménagement du territoire en 2003.

Exposée à un climat océanique altéré, elle est drainée par le Gers, le ruisseau du Hay et par divers autres petits cours d'eau. La commune possède un patrimoine naturel remarquable composé de deux zones naturelles d'intérêt écologique, faunistique et floristique.

Boucagnères est une commune rurale qui compte 215 habitants en 2020, après avoir connu une forte hausse de la population depuis 1975. Elle fait partie de la communauté des communes VAL DE GERS. Ses habitants sont appelés les Boucagnérais ou Boucagnéraises.

Le Gers fait partie de la r&eacute;gion Occitanie. Il est limitrophe des d&eacute;partements des Hautes-Pyr&eacute;n&eacute;es, de la Haute-Garonne, de Tarn-et-Garonne, de Lot-et-Garonne, des Landes et des Pyr&eacute;n&eacute;es-Atlantiques.Les extr&eacute;mit&eacute;s d&eacute;partementales sont au nord Pergain-Taillac, &agrave; l&#39;est Pujaudran, au sud Mont-d&#39;Astarac et &agrave; l&#39;ouest S&eacute;gos.
